You don’t need to win a championship today.
You need to win one game. This one. The only game that exists right now is the one in front of you.
Everything else is noise.
Read this passage slowly.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.

The teams that win championships almost never talk about winning championships in the moment. They talk about the next game. The next possession. The next play.
That’s not an accident and it’s not denial. It’s the most effective way to compete in a situation where the stakes are high. When you’re thinking about the championship, you’re not thinking about this game. And if you’re not thinking about this game, you probably won’t be in the championship conversation for long.
One more. That’s the whole plan. Do this one with everything you have. Give it your whole heart, as Colossians says — not most of your heart while part of it is already in the next round. All of it. Here. Now.
If you do that, the results take care of themselves. And if you don’t get the result you wanted, you’ll know you gave everything to this one. That matters.
