Today is the most practical question: what does it look like to live it here? In this locker room. In this season. In the specific conditions of competitive sport that test it most consistently.

As working for the Lord. That phrase is the practical application of faith to the daily work of an athlete. It changes the orientation of the effort. Not: I’m competing for the scholarship, the recognition, the result. I’m competing for the Lord — which means full effort, full integrity, full investment regardless of whether the external motivation is present.
Living faith in the locker room looks like specific things. Before competition: the intentional location of the self in what is more permanent than the outcome. The prayer or the practice that connects to the source before the pressure of the game. During competition: the freedom to compete fully that comes from not needing the result to validate your worth. After competition: the return to the foundation rather than the verdict — what the scoreboard said is information, not identity.
And in the broader life of the team: the consistent demonstration that how you treat people matters as much as how you perform. That integrity in the small moments is the actual measure of the faith. That the locker room is a place where something more than athletic performance is being cultivated.
Live it here. That’s the whole instruction. Specifically, daily, in the context you actually inhabit. That’s what faith in the locker room actually means.
Living faith in the locker room means competing from a foundation that doesn’t require validation from the result. Full effort, full integrity, regardless of who is watching.
